In this series, I've used natural elements scuch as trees, reeds, brances, and leaves. The interplay of colors and schapes intrigues me: the reflection of reeds and branches on the water, the vibration, the refraction of light. I focus on rhytm, repetition, and composition. I try to abstract as much as possible through cropping, color changes, and accentuating certain aspects.

In this series, I've focused on the abundance of details, the richness of color, the nuances of sharpness and blur. At some point, you start to interpret them as layers of earth, compressed boxes, or the image of plastic soup. Perhaps it's better to leave associations aside and simply let the image speak for itself.

Besides my fascination with flowers, I'am also drawn to the diverse shapes and textures of each individual flower. The flowers are painted layer upon layer with acrylic paint. The are realistic yet stylized. Through the many color nuances, the brightness, and the high contrast, I've enhanced the light effect in the paintings, creating the illusion of a light burning behind them.
